QuickACCESS has been under steady development for a few years now. It is novel in its way that it interacts with the eye tracker, mouse, keyboard, touch screen and the way that it is designed around the needs of users that rely on it.

Beta builds are posted as updates and fixes are incorporated into QuickACCESS. These builds go through a few levels of internal testing. As users call or email about the related issues or bugs, the beta download is often an answer to fix the issue.

Release builds are posted when a beta build has finished rigorous testing and is up to the polish expected of released software. This includes up to date documentation, testing with every eye tracker and operating system supported by EyeTech.

Beta builds are more frequent and address issues faster. Release builds are less frequent, but may be considered more "stable".
